And so it finally happened. The day we have all been waiting for since the first announcement of the Hydranet Web DEX is here — mainnet!
August gave us the date — September 7. That makes August a month of preparation in every sense of the word. After years of development, testing, debugging, refining, and occasionally wondering whether we would ever get here, the launch was finally within reach.
This time, we were no longer simply preparing for mainnet, it was finally about to happen. Hours, days, months, and years of work are coming together, and on August 24, we officially announced the launch date. That was the moment the countdown began.
Check out the announcement here!
With the launch announcement came another change. We have also introduced a new structure for how we communicate with the community, particularly on X. Moving forward, there will be two official Hydranet accounts:
@HydranetX is our main account. Announcements, updates, releases, and everything related to the DEX will be posted here.
@HydranetDAO, formerly TheHydranet, will be our DAO account. Governance proposals, votes, treasury updates, weekly/monthly/quarterly updates, and DAO-related discussions will be posted here.
As always, please pay close attention to this change. Account changes are exactly the kind of opportunity impersonators look for, especially around a major launch. These two accounts are the only official Hydranet accounts on X.
The countdown is already underway, and the first launch-related posts are out there. The next chapter is getting very close.
There is still more information to come regarding the exact launch process, but one thing we can already clarify is that the launch will happen in stages. Access to the platform will initially be provided through invitations.
There are several reasons for taking this approach. We are introducing something that has not existed in this form before. It’s not just a new trading interface, but an entirely new type of infrastructure for trading across blockchain networks.
That means we need to make sure the infrastructure, backend, and user experience can handle the transition from controlled testing to real-world usage. A staged launch gives us the ability to monitor the system closely, identify anything that needs attention, and gradually increase the number of users.
It may mean that not everyone gets access on day one. But it gives us the best opportunity to make sure that when more users arrive, the platform is ready for them.
And, of course, we can't wait to get as many of you onto the platform as possible — trading, holding, paying, and doing everything we've been building Hydranet around.
See you on mainnet!
