It wasn’t long ago we launched the Hydranet Alpha build for the public, but just like that we went from Alpha to Beta! Now, as of July 31st, Beta is officially out! A huge milestone for our team and community. Behind this transition were countless hours of debugging Alpha feedback, fixing critical issues, and adding fresh features that bring us one major step closer to delivering the Hydranet DEX we’ve all been waiting for.
The answer is simple: our testers and developers delivered outstanding work during the Alpha phase. Alpha was all about validating off-chain swaps, the core mechanism that enables trades between two parties without giving up custody. With that foundation stable, we could start layering features on top to create a more intuitive, user-friendly experience, including one-click off-chain swaps and feature-rich order books for strategic trading.
SimpleSwap
The go-to feature for true one-click trades. No need to navigate charts or manage state channels manually. Just pick your tokens, click Swap, and Hydranet handles the rest!
Order Book Mode
A familiar CEX-style trading experience for those who prefer precision. Full limit order functionality, visible bids and asks, and instant, gas-free off-chain settlement. Can this be the best order book in crypto?
Multi-Pair Routing
No more dead ends when a direct pair lacks liquidity. Hydranet now automatically routes through multiple pairs. For example: Want to trade HDN → USDC but no direct pool exists? Hydranet will effortlessly route through HDN → aETH → USDC, completing the swap instantly without extra cost.
0-Confirmation Channels
Say goodbye to waiting on confirmations when funding channels. This feature allows users to use rental liquidity immediately, even before the deposit is fully confirmed on-chain.This means you don’t have to wait for that 10-min-per-block confirmation on Bitcoin. Don’t believe us? Then see it for yourself.
EVM Watchtowers
The silent guardians for your off-chain funds. These services monitor your EVM state channels while you’re offline, ensuring the integrity of your positions. Support for Lightning and Bitcoin is coming soon.
With Beta live, we released a set of feature videos on Hydranet’s YouTube channel. What’s even better is to test the Beta features yourself! Ready to dive in? You’ll find the Beta build here. For step-by-step instructions, visit our documentation page here. Happy testing!
July wasn’t just about building features, it was about telling our story and expanding the Hydranet community. You may have noticed a surge in activity on Hydranet’s official X account. That’s thanks to Mito, our new Social Media Manager, who joined the team last month. Mito brings a wealth of experience in growing crypto communities and is already making an impact with engaging posts and interactions. Give him a warm welcome and say hi on X!
Beyond social media, we’ve also launched a brand-new blog page on our website, where we’ve already migrated several key articles from Medium, with more content on the way. This move helps us boost visibility and strengthen our content hub.
